Armenians Gather in New York on 95th Anniversary for 25th "Times Square" Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide

Hundreds of eager Armenians from all over the East Coast and California crowded into Kavookjian Hall in New York on a drizzly Sunday afternoon, April 25, to observe the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.  Intermittent rain compelled the organizers to forgo the traditional venue of Times Square in Mid-Manhattan and move to "Times Square on 2nd Avenue" for the exciting and well-attended event.

Based in New York City, the Executive Director will be responsible for the management of the administrative and operational functions at the Diocese, in accordance with the policies established by the Primate and the Diocesan Council.

International Humanitarian, Baroness Cox honored by the Daughters of Vartan Grand Council
The Right Honorable the Baroness Caroline Cox of Queensbury, member of the British House of Lords, was welcomed to the Detroit Metropolitan area by the Daughters of Vartan Grand Council on April 21st at St. Johns Armenian Church Cultural Center, Southfield, Michigan. The Reception was held in conjunction with Oakland University School of Nursing, which has established The Baroness Cox Endowed Chair of Global Health and Social Studies.
